Our mold detection process
At USK9 Mold Detection Dogs, we ensure a professional, efficient, and thorough inspection. From your first call to our departure, here’s what you can expect.

Step 1: The initial call
Everything starts with a conversation. We'll ask a few questions to better understand your concerns, including: What prompted you to call? Have you experienced any water damage, leaks, or flooding? Is there a musty odor or a specific area you're concerned about? Has your home already been inspected or tested? Is this a home, business, rental property, or real estate transaction?
This information helps us determine whether a canine inspection is the right fit for your situation and allows us to prepare for your visit.

How long does an inspection take?
Every property is different, but most residential mold detection inspections take 60 to 90 minutes from the time we arrive until we finish reviewing our findings with you.
Here's what that typically includes:
- 10–15 minutes – Meet with you, discuss your concerns, review the property's history, and explain the inspection process.
- 30–60 minutes – Kibbi conducts a systematic search of the home. The exact time depends on the size and layout of the property.
- 15–20 minutes – We review the results with you, answer your questions, explain any alerts, and discuss recommended next steps if additional investigation is warranted.
Larger properties, commercial buildings, schools, healthcare facilities, or multi-unit properties may require several hours or multiple K9 teams, depending on the size and complexity of the inspection. We never rush.
